How long does a car from Korea take to reach Kyrgyzstan
From purchase to handover in Bishkek, 35–55 days. There are two routes: through Vladivostok with rail on to Bishkek, and through a Chinese port with rail and a low-loader. What is the import duty on a car from Korea to Kyrgyzstan in 2026
The duty is a union rate, the same EAEU single rate: €1.5–3.6 per cm³ for a car aged 3 to 5 years. On top of it only the customs clearance fee, 0.4% of the customs value. There is no recycling fee on a passenger car in Kyrgyzstan at all. That makes this the cheapest corridor of the seven.
Duty = displacement × the rate per cm³. The clearance fee = 0.4% of the customs value, but not less than 5 and not more than 2,500 accounting units.
Worked example: a BMW 420i, 1,998 cm³, four years old. Duty ⃀529,383, customs value ⃀1,986,138, fee at 0.4% = ⃀7,945. To the state: ⃀537,327.

- On a passenger car from Korea neither the floor nor the ceiling of the fee binds: the floor only bites below a customs value of ⃀125,000 and the ceiling only above ⃀62,500,000.
- The 0.4% rate was set by a 2024 regulation — before it the rate was 0.25%. Citing regulation No. 79 without naming the Instruction and its point 38 will not do: the regulation itself contains no rate.
What is the recycling fee in Kyrgyzstan
There is no recycling fee on a passenger car. Extended producer responsibility does exist in Kyrgyzstan, but it covers 24 groups of goods and packaging — tyres, batteries, oils, electronics, paper. A finished passenger car is not among them. If you ship tyres or batteries as a separate consignment, the scheme applies to those.
We checked the official list: passenger cars are not on it. Level B: the texts of the regulations are not available openly; the list of groups comes from the environment ministry's website.

That is the duty plus the 0.4% clearance fee and nothing more: no recycling fee, and on a personal import VAT sits inside the single rate. Can I clear the car in Kyrgyzstan and drive it on to Russia
No — it no longer saves anything. That route closed on 01.04.2026: a personal import from an EAEU country is treated as commercial, and the Russian recycling fee is counted by the single formula. If the release for free circulation was not decided by the Russian customs, the privileged coefficients apply only 12 months after that release.
People ask about this often. The route worked until April 2026 and gives no saving now.
What is the duty on an electric car from Korea to Kyrgyzstan
Import VAT is nil while the car is under 5 years old. There is no recycling fee at all. The EAEU quota for duty-free import in 2026, however, ran out by the end of September: the duty now is the ordinary 15 % of the customs value. The quota was open only to Kyrgyz citizens permanently resident in the republic.
The quota was 15,000 cars, raised to 25,000 from 17.08.2026 — and still ran out. Passing such a car on to a person from Russia or Kazakhstan is prohibited.
